Land of the sickos!!

Well to say that the last 2 weeks have been trying would be an understatement! Right now (and for the past 4 days) the whole family has come down with a wretched flu. My shipment of wool was delayed because of the holidays (in Canada the post office gets both Easter Monday and Good Friday off) and somewhere between my supplier and myself my package took a vacation.

I have also been hosting a fundraiser for Mackayla's family with some of the most amazing WAHM's I have met! Each and every one of them deserves a medal for being so patient while I try to medicate the family, raise funds for a great little family, and catch up on those orders where the wool has come in! In the pic I have done my best to take a half decent shot of the blister I have now named Leroy, my own little souvenir thanks to the PO!

Not to worry :) I will be stocking soon ! As well, I have started a yahoo group! I will announce stocking times there :)

I want to thank everyone for the understanding and patience that everyone has shown and the support for not only myself but this wonderful family that we're trying to help.

What a busy busy week and many more to come!

Please accept my sincerest apologies in the delay in recent posts! Things have been busy to say the least! Congratulations to Yasmel who recently purchased the amazing Collab with myself, Katie, from Ewe Need It and Stacey from A F.E.W. Natural Changes! A truly beautiful set!

On the homefront things have been a tich bumpy. Little James is sick (9 mos. old) and just finally starting to sleep again *phew* so I have been stuck. Know that shipments will go out tomorrow!

As well, Katie from Ewe Need It's daughter Mackayla went into the hospital :(

Mackayla has been diagnosed with MELAS. MELAS stands for Mitochondrial encepholopathy lactic acidosis and stroke like episodes. Mackayla typically suffers from seizures, and on March 8th came down with what seemed like the flu. In the middle of the night, Mackayla had a horrible seizure that woke her parents, medication was given, and after having to up the dose significantly they were able to stop it. After 2 days of not eating, extreme dehydration, and lethargy, and her leg mysteriously starting to swell, her mother took her into the Emergency Room at the only hospital their insurance lists as a preferred provider, where little Macky was given 3 bags of saline and a test for the flu which came back negative, and she was sent home.

The next morning, Mom couldn't wake up Macky, so back to the ER they went where again, Macky was given only fluids and sent home. Frustrated and aggrivated, Mom camped out at the pediatrician, where, despite the nurse there saying she would be fine, fought to have Mackayla seen again.

On March 12th, Mackayla was admitted into the hospital where extensive testing was done. It was found that not only did Mackayla have the flu, but both strands, A and B were present. To add to this her liver was failing, her leg was hemorrhaging horribly, and doctors were extremely concerned.

Mackayla had to stay in the hospital for a total of 8 days before her liver numbers started to drop. The doctors finally had determined that her seizure had caused microtears in her muscle. That combined with the liver not functioning caused mass hemorrhaging.

Mackys leg is still horribly swollen, its about 3 times the size of her left leg. The virus also attacked the muscles in her right calf and thigh causing them to hemorrhage severely and that combined with her liver was failing all her clotting factors were off. Theye have to massage her leg with a special cream that promotes blood flow 8 times a day which is extremely painful for her. She is no longer allowed to have tylenol because of her liver and can only take motrin, they can't give her anything stronger as the liver is what processes medicines and its already damaged so they don't want to do further damage.

Mackayla has now regressed to the point of about a 5 month old, she can sit unassisted for about 3-5 minutes before falling over, walking is over, the therapists are not sure if she will ever walk again the damage in her leg is so severe. They may end up doing surgery in the next week, if they do it will be about a 20" incision that will go from her groin to her ankle to relive the pressure from all the swelling in her leg so that they don't end up amputating her foot as it isn't getting adequate blood flow due to all the swelling .

As you can imagine, medical bills for this family are sky-rocketing over and above what they already can't afford. They will likely need a wheel chair and an abundance of prescriptions that just aren't in the budget.

To help, I will be auctioning off a set of Fluff Balls, as well as one of our New Fluff Ball Totes from A.F.E.W Natural Changes. As well please feel free to check out what's up and coming!!

If you would like to read more about Mack and MELAS please click here:

As well, I wanted to send out a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to those WAHM's who are donating to try to help out as well! Julie and Lisa from Selah, Rebecca from Night Owl's Menagerie, Kirstin from Small Moments, Andrea from Andies Arts, Angela from Wild Child Woolies, Rachel from Mimzie's Whimzies, Teresa from For Crying Out Loud!, Annette from Wool Creations, Aly from KreativeMindz and her Momma, and Anne from Little Boppers..... you are are truly special and wonderful people! And to those that wanted to help out but couldn't thank you for the thought, the reply, and the consideration!

Well that's it for now, hoping to upload more preview pics of those items to be raffled/auctioned soon!!

My sincerest thanks!

It's off to the PO we go!

I just thought I would take a pic of all the packages that are heading to the PO this afternoon *phew* Everything has been packaged up with care and bundled, and we're about to head out the door :)

Again I just wanted to thank everyone for all the support! I swear I have the best customers out there! A Huge Huge Huge thank you to everyone!

To those who have been contacted on the Customs Waiting List regarding the next wool order, I have contacted my supplier, and it will be in the mail on Monday :) So it should be here next week or the following Monday!

I also wanted to let everyone know that I will be doing a surprise stocking sometime this week :) So keep your eye out !

As well, just a head's up for everyone, that I am scheduling a day off per week for me to spend time with my family.... I've been doing my best to ensure that orders are processed as quickly as possible, but in doing that have been working 7 days a week! That being said, my wonderful DH has offered to help with packaging so hopefully this will keep production at the same level that it is at now while still allowing me to have a little more family time. I do hope that everyone understands :)

Thanks again!

Chuggin Along....

Things in the Fluff Balls zone have been busy busy busy! My mother in law is in town from AR, and we all know what that entails, I just got out 7 packages (6 from the stocking 1 larger custom order) and our wee little man has just cut his fourth tooth and learned how to table walk clearing all surfaces he comes in contact with!

I'm happy to report I've managed to pick up a postage scale so all shipping now should be completed through PayPal, YAY!!

Again I have to thank everyone for such a successful stocking this past Thursday! The responses, questions, comments, well everything, has left us just speechless. We couldn't thank our customers enough for all the support.

Well, hubby has left for that 6:30 am train to work, so we best get to work here! This week (we're hoping Thursday) we're hoping to stock some sweet Easter colors :) Keep your eye out for previews :D As well, if you could take a moment and answer the poll on the right we'd be ever so greatful! If there is a scent that you think we should carry, feel free to drop us an email, make a comment on here or our HC :) Thanks again!

All the best!

Stocking Day!!

Well stocking day is upon us again! As you may have noticed I've taken your poll into consideration offering mis-matched sets and a matched set, and one very close to matched :)

My back is slowly getting better, a huge thanks to my darling husband and kiddos for all their help, as well as to my customers for their patience and understanding, I sincerely appreciate it!

My mother in law is due into town from 3000+ miles away (beautiful AR) so I'm hoping to get your orders out to the PO either tomorrow during the day, or take a break from the visit and ship them Saturday :)

Remember if you have any questions or comments at all, please don't hesitate to contact me :) And a huge thank you for all the support! I seriously think I have the best customers on the planet!!

Cheers!

Small Delay

Monday when getting the kids ready for school, I slipped going down the stairs and have put my back out :( Unfortunately because of this I haven't been able to make it to the PO, but thanks to my chiropractor I am hoping to be able to get there Tomorrow. Please accept my sincerest apologies in the delay, I feel absolutely horrible. You will be happy to know though, that I am still working hard on all the orders, just with less mobility.

Again, thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

The Morning After....

We would love your input! Please take a moment to answer the poll on the right :)
Wow, just wow! I have to say thank-you to all those who made it to the stocking last night! A big thanks to the customers who purchased for their purchase and paying right away, and a huge thanks to everyone who sent me wonderful emails, questions, comments, and the like! We are so overwhelmed with all the wonderful comments and well wishes!

After the stocking last night we had to rush out to my father's 60th birthday party! So if you sent me an email or a PM after 9pm we would have gotten back to you this morning. Please accept our appologies in the delay.

As of today at noon I'm officially putting the wait list on hold. We're sitting at 30 people, and that's a long wait for everyone! Hopefully with putting the waitlist on hold, after we work through some, it will allow us to stock a few extra and maybe a custom slot or two!

Want to see something specific? Have a great idea for a theme? Please feel free to drop us a line! We're always happy to hear from our friends and customers!!

Today is packaging day, but I thought I would take a pic of all the orders that I am hoping will go out Monday (this includes some off the customs list).

Thanks again to everyone for the continued support and understanding!

Wool Wool Everywhere And Not a Speck to Knit...

I don't think my hands have ever been as soft as they are now doing these customs as fast as I possibly can! Heck I don't need lotion anymore with the amount of lanolin I have come in contact with!

We have gotten out another 4 packages today ! YAY! That Post Office line pretty near killed me with Tyler, Sebastien and Sweet Baby James on my back LOL! But well worth the effort to get these out!

I have taken a pic of the ones I'm still working on here.... they are not complete yet, but getting there!

We did have one casualty as well.... a poor red and teal one that I had started for Lauren! Alas, there's always got to be one, and in this case my wonderful husband was trying to help out and spilt bleach on them :( Not to worry though Lauren, those rich Burgundy and Teal ones are getting prepped just for you!!

Again another big thanks to all our customers!! Hoping to see you at this weekends stocking :D

Busy Busy Little Bee

Well, to say that this weekend has been busy would be an understatement! I have started numerous packages, some are going out today, some are finishing felting today, and the list of "to do's" continues to grow! I have contacted a prospective supplier, and should find out tomorrow (they are closed Monday's) whether or not they are a viable option! Keep your fingers crossed!

Here is a picture of the packages that are going out this morning, there actually 7 there, one is just hidden underneath with the way the stack fell. (less two that I forgot to add to the shot!)

I have to admit that we are finally starting to get a nice routine on how to make things run smoothly!

For those that have emailed inquiring about co-ops I couldn't be more flattered or more excited and am definitely open to that option in the future when I have my suppliers worked out and a routine settled that works well. I would hate to take on a large order and then have something happen. My customers mean so very much to me, and would hate to not provide them with exactly what they are looking for!

Our Hyena Cart opened last night and we couldn't be more thrilled! We're looking at stocking by the end of this week or early next week ~ so keep those eyes open!!

I wanted to thank everyone again for all their support, patience and understanding! I swear I have the best customers on the planet! Your emails, private messages and interest is so very very much appreciated!

To Good friends and New Beginnings!

Firstly, I want to thank everyone for their interest, their support, their patience and the list goes on! You Mommas have always been wonderful to work with be it stalking or the soon to be stocking LOL! But please, accept our sincerest thanks!

What a day!! Today has to have been one of my busiest! We have just opened up our new HC! YAY!! I'm still working on orders, and we may have found a new supplier !!!

If you missed it on the forum, I literally cleared out my present supplier of everything she had after which she informed me that her supplier had upped their price, meaning my price was going to increase .... so I was on the hunt for a new supplier, and we may have found one that is comparable!!!

Wish us luck!

For those that may have missed it, here is a snap shot of the first couple of orders!!
